We’re looking to hire an experienced Head Lifeguard for a seasonal pool partnership in Gilroy, CA. Job responsibilities include supervising lifeguards and swim instructors on duty, aiding in staff in-service training, and eventually teaching lifeguard certification courses.
DETAILS
Seasonal Full-Time:
- Up to 30-40 hours a week
Pay: $20 per hour
Pool Hours:
Spring: Saturday, May 25 - Sunday, June 9, 2024
- 4:30 - 7:30 PM (Weekdays)
- 12:00 - 5:00 PM (Weekends)
Summer: Tuesday, June 11 - Sunday, August 18, 2024 (Closed Mondays)
- Weekdays: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- Weekends: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Fall: Saturday, August 24 - Sunday, September 1
- 12:00 - 5:00 PM (Weekends)
BONUS
$100 Employee Referral Bonus - Payable for each referral upon successful completion of 60 days of employment.
50% reimbursement of certification following a successful full season (Memorial Day to Labor Day)

QUALIFICATIONS
Ages 18+ with a High school Diploma or equivalent
2+ years of lifeguard and/or swim instructor experience required
Current ARC or equivalent Lifeguard certification required
Current ARC Lifeguard Management course completion or enrolled required
Current (or ability to obtain) an ARC Lifeguard Instructor certification within 30 days of hire
1+ year experience in a leadership role preferred
Ability to pass pre-employment verbal, swim, and in-water skills tests

Compensation: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
