Swan Aquatics is hiring for part time year-round lifeguard coordinators. Must enjoy working in a fun atmosphere while supervising lifeguards at a multi-feature aquatic venue. If you enjoy helping people and being a leader, this position is for you!

Job Duties:

Supervisor on Duty when Facility Supervisor & Assistant Facility Supervisor are not on site
First point of contact for lifeguard staff.
Conducts and leads in-service trainings
Supervising Lifeguards including but not limited to scheduling, personal issues/concerns, employee productivity and in-service training. All training and team branding is based upon Swan Aquatics, criteria.
Ensure the safety of lifeguards to include proper breaks and lunches are given, shade and/or hats are used, sunscreen is frequently applied and proper hydration is being maintained.
Opening and closing daily procedures including but not limited to completed daily task sheets. Procedures dependent on schedule and hours including rotations, maintenance of chemicals and pump room areas where applicable.
Training new hires and supervises in the operations that are executed at an aquatics facility.
Helping with facility events.
Assist in facility cleanliness including maintenance & janitorial duties as necessary
Monitors pool-related activities closely throughout shifts and identifies any special issues. Uses judgment to determine if patrons are safely and properly conducting themselves.
Directs swimmers out of the pool and/or to clear the deck during hazardous conditions.
Monitors weather reports closely to ensure safety of guests. Adheres to and upholds Swan Aquatics "Inclement weather" policies and procedures.
Provides assistance to patrons when appropriate or necessary.
Reports inventory needs to immediate supervisor such as rescue tubes, umbrellas, radios, hip packs, first aid equipment, manikins, gloves, rescue masks, etc.
Teaching/Co-Teaching Lifeguard Certification Courses at our partnership facilities when applicable.
All other duties as assigned.

Pay rate: $23-$24/hr DOE, certifications, etc.

Job Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old
Must have at least one full season of supervisory experience
Be able to swim and willing to work a minimum of 16 hours per week in off season and up to 40 hours in peak season
Enjoy working with people and understand the art of exceptional customer service
Professional and mature demeanor
Have the ability to make sound decisions as the manager on duty
Possess a current Lifeguard Training/First Aid/CPR/AED certification
Possess a current Lifeguard Instructor certification

Compensation: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
